The color of this daylily reminds me of grapes. It is so deliciously clear! The blooms are larger and sturdier than those of its pod parent, Gilian, and the scapes are very tall. But you can see the Gillian influence in the shape of the petals. They have the "cute" and slightly old-fashioned look that is typical of Trimmer's daylilies. But the large size and clarity of color is an example of Stamile's influence from Mountain Wildflower. This daylily brings together the genetics of two great hybridizers.
